PACE MEN ROTATED

- BY DEAN WILSON

JAMES ANDERSON is out of the second Test against the West Indies as

England attempt to rotate their bowlers without any further upset.

England’s record wicket-taker

Anderson, 37, and Mark Wood have officially been “rested”, with Sam Curran and Ollie Robinson called up to the squad for the first time. Skipper Joe Root is keen to look after his pace assets after Stuart Broad spoke of his anger at being axed in Southampton. He and Chris Woakes (right) will be the favourites to make the final XI.

“It is an exciting period for English cricket in terms of fast bowling,” said Root.
