Four buggies a week crash
MOBILITY scooters are involved in four crashes a week as their use soars.
The number of accidents involving the electric buggies, which cannot exceed 8mph and are designed to be used on the pavement, has more than doubled in just two years.
There were 209 crashes in 2014 compared with just 84 in 2012, the Department of Transport figures showed. Nine people were killed.
