HRT GIVES BIG BENEFITS

Daily Mirror - - #MADEUTHINK -

# There are bound to be conflicting views on the benefits of hormone replacement therapy following the latest findings from the Institute of Cancer Research which have linked it to breast cancer (Mirror, August 23).

But HRT does what it says on the tin – it replaces the hormones that a woman’s body gradually ceases to produce, thereby easing the symptoms of menopause.

The only way a woman can avoid experiencing the menopause is to stay on HRT for the rest of her life but I think the majority of doctors would be reluctant to prescribe it indefinitely. Christine Hanks, Woking, Surrey
