Tigers tailing PSG’s Sirigu
MIKE PHELAN has added Paris Saint-Germain keeper Salvatore Sirigu to his growing list of transfer targets.
The stand-in Hull boss urgently needs reinforcements for the Premier League’s thinnest squad and is willing to pay £6.8million for the Italy international, who has been told he has no future at his French club.
Everton and Sevilla are interested too, but the Tigers are in pole position, with a PSG insider revealing “serious contact” has been made with the Ligue 1 champions.
Sirigu feels he would have a better chance of regular top-flight football at Hull, with first-choice Allan McGregor out until January after back surgery.
