DANIEL STUR­RIDGE has re­vealed his frus­tra­tion at Jur­gen Klopp’s de­ci­sion to ig­nore him for a cen­tral striking role.

The Eng­land for­ward in­sists he is ready to “do a job for the team” by op­er­at­ing in a wide po­si­tion for Liver­pool, but added: “That’s not say­ing I am happy to do it.”

The ten­sion was ev­i­dent af­ter he came off the bench to score twice in a 5-0 EFL Cup win at Bur­ton on Tues­day night.
