Aurora? Oh mow it isn’t

A SIT-on mower has been blamed for sending out a bogus red alert to Northern Lights enthusiasts in the UK.

Scientists said that it was driven close to a sensor at the University of Lancaster, triggering it to record a spike in geomagnetic activity.

The fake prediction of a sighting was then emailed to Aurora Watch members.
