The feel-good factor revives

-

Consumer confidence has picked up since a post-Brexit vote slump. People are feeling a bit better about their finances, house prices and business activity for the next year, according to research by pollsters YouGov and the Centre for Economics and Business Research. However, fears about job security have worsened. The research uses an index to measure consumer confidence. It dropped from 111.9 just before June’s EU referendum to 106.6 last month, but has now risen to 109.8. However, Stephen Harmston, head of YouGov, warned: “Most consumers have yet to feel much tangible impact of the vote to leave the EU.”
