CARDIFF fans have been assured new signing Patrick Bordeleau is not using the Elite League as a quick way back into the NHL.

The Canadian suffered a serious knee injury in 2014, and player-boss Andrew Lord said: “Patrick is here for the season, this is the real deal.”
