May to urge NATO to join terror fight
THERESA May will today urge NATO to join the war on Islamic State.
Speaking at the annual summit in Brussels, the Prime Minister will back a US-led plan for NATO to join the alliance fighting IS in Iraq and Syria.
She will say: “A strong, capable and united NATO is at the heart of the security of each of our nations. Our unity in responding to common threats is our most potent weapon.”
The PM will cut short her visit to the two-day G7 summit, which kicks off in Italy tomorrow.
