UK Schindler tribute gaffe

A PLAQUE engraved with a quote by “British Schindler” Sir Nicholas Winton put the word “ethnics” instead of “ethics”.

It reads that Sir Nicholas, who saved hundreds of Jewish children from the Nazis, said we can “still believe in the fundamental ethnics of goodness”.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, which spent £100,000 on the tribute in Oaken Grove Park, Berks, said: “A supplier has been asked to rectify one plaque.”
