Brits in ‘bear hug’ attacks

AT least three Britons have been attacked in Majorca by hulking muggers who approach from behind and put them in a bear hug.

Holidaymakers said one of the robbers was 6ft 6in tall and had arms “like Hercules”, leaving them “nearly asphyxiated”.

He is believed to be part of a gang behind at least 26 attacks in the resort of Magaluf last summer. Two men were arrested and police said: “The assailants are so burly, the tourist can’t offer any resistance.”
