SAINT BEHIND THE SCENES
They say you should never meet your heroes but when Sir Roger Moore was a guest on Loose Women, he didn’t disappoint. Which makes it all the sadder that the former 007 passed away last week, aged 89, from cancer. When he was on the show, from the moment he arrived in the studio to the moment he left, he was friendly, charming and very humble. It wasn’t just put on for the benefit of the cameras either. Unlike dear Roger, not everybody who’s great when the cameras are on them is as much of a dream behind the scenes, but that’s showbiz. The big test is whether the crew – the runners, make-up artists etc – are treated well by the guest. And Sir Roger was the perfect gentleman to everyone, all the time.
