Madness frontman Suggs is a history enthusiast (who knew?) and has been paired with Britain’s foremost hunter of Second World War relics for a new series.

In eight, hour-long episodes of WW2 Treasure Hunters, Suggs and Stephen Taylor will search former military sites trying to unearth long-forgotten artefacts.

Their extensive digs will be helped by state-of-the-art technology plus archives and maps.

In the series, which airs later this year on digital channel History, they will reveal the stories and people behind their finds, meeting both survivors and experts.
