Blade finds hit 6yr high

THE number of people caught with knives has hit the highest level for almost six years.

Ministry of Justice statistics show 5,184 cases from January to March led to a caution or sentence in England and Wales – more than 50 a day. The figure is the highest quarter and the first over 5,000 since July to September 2011.
