‘Sex assault’ dancer recreates routine
A DREAMBOYS dancer accused of groping two women at a hen party performed his erotic moves in court, gyrating for the judge and jury.
Florin Haiduc, 28, allegedly assaulted the women at a strip club. They claim he slipped his fingers in their knickers as he gave them private dances in a booth.
Denying their claims, Haiduc demonstrated the three-minute performance.
Judge John Dodd QC and jurors watched as he span in the witness box and made a grinding motion before telling them: “I’m sorry, guys.”
The stripper claimed he had brushed the outside of the women’s underwear during lap dances at For Your Eyes Only club in Moorgate, East London. He previously told police it was the first time he had touched punters, but later said he lied.
Haiduc told the court: “When the song goes slowly you crawl on the floor and put the hands outside the customers’ knees and grind.”
Describing the dance with one alleged victim, he said: “I went in with the first girl and said, ‘Are you having a good night?’ She opened her legs and smiled. I said, ‘Someone had a good night.’ I did a lot of turns around her. Usually I turn to sit on the lap and when you get too low you come up, it’s all about teasing.
“I was brushing her legs inside and brushing her legs outside, and then, I’m not going to lie, I did brush her underwear. It is a quick brush. I didn’t hold my hand on her underwear.
“The customer brushed her hand over my chest. She squeezed my groin area and I said, ‘Woah, usually you’re not allowed to go that far.’ I didn’t want to make it awkward so I laughed and she laughed.
“She said, ‘Oh come on, don’t be boring.’” Haiduc said she seemed “absolutely fine” when she left. Of the other complainant, last year he said: “She grabbed my back and scratched me. She was smiling. She was sitting down and I was brushing her legs. I think she was a little bit more drunk than the first one.”
Asked if he was drunk, Haiduc said: “How could I be drunk when I have to do handstands and backflips on stage?” Haiduc, of Wapping, East London, denies sexual assault. The trial continues at Wood Green crown court, North London.
