Love Island’s Camilla is the most unlikely reality TV contestant of all time, and an even more unlikely Love Island contestant. It’s hard to hear anything she says because you’re so busy shouting, “BUT WHY ARE YOU THERE?” at the telly.

The other girls are glamour models or “social media influencers”, Camilla’s job is in Humanitarian Explosive Ordnance Disposal.

“You go to areas where there have been conflicts and if there are remnants of war that are injuring or killing people, you destroy them,” she explained.

“Do you go round killing people?” was the first question that came back. We already knew Camilla was clever, kind, thoughtful and nice, but the next few seconds proved it once and for all: she didn’t

even roll her eyes.
