The six-year gap between Fleet Foxes’ second album Helplessne­ss Blues and this third has brought a change in outlook. The prog-folk arrangemen­ts can be ponderous and meandering, the dreamy harmonies which made the band’s reputation remain a focus but the album has an insular and self-reflective mood.
