Is this Moyet? Star Alison is ‘like a tramp’
SINGER Alison Moyet dresses so scruffily on her art course that she is mistaken for a tramp.
The 80s performer, who has sold 23 million albums, has returned to college in London to study sculpture.
Brighton-based Moyet, 55, who had five Top Ten singles including Is This Love?, told last night’s Graham Norton Show on the BBC: “I get the late train and people avoid me as I look like a bag lady.
“I was on a train with a smart young lady next to me. I was crammed in with my bags and covered in clay. As she was leaving, she pushed over her leftovers and said, ‘Would you like my food?’.”
Millionaire Moyet yesterday released her ninth studio album, Other.
