Konta all ready for her Coco

-

JOHANNA KONTA continued her good form on grass with a straight sets win over Lesia Tsurenko.

Konta (below), runner-up at the Aegon Open last week, won 6-3 7-6 (6) and plays American Coco Vandeweghe.

“I think the grass here is faster than in Nottingham,” Konta said. “It’s a beautiful grass court, so I’m really enjoying playing on the surface. And, yeah, I enjoyed my time on the centre court.

Talking about facing Vandeweghe, she added: “She’s a very big player. She’s got a lot of fire power, so I think it’ll be a tough match.”
