To blazes with school sadists

The wise headteacher at my youngest son’s school sent a message to parents on sweltering Monday afternoon, informing us that pupils would “not be required to wear their blazers this week”.

Which, of course, totally makes sense. It’s a pity then that there are still some sadistic educators out there who insisted on their pupils wearing full uniform in the searing heat.

It’s a shame they never learned that unnecessary cruelty commands ridicule, rather than respect.
