It’s do or Dai says Davies

- FROM ALEX SPINK

JONATHAN DAVIES has urged Lions fans not to give up hope despite the First Test mauling by the All Blacks.

The tourists flew south to Wellington licking their wounds but insisting that losing a battle does not mean losing the war.

“We have to win the Second Test – it is now do or die,” the Welsh centre accepted. “We have got to dust ourselves off. It’s a test of character.

“But there is a sense in the camp that moving forward we can beat the All Blacks as everything is fixable on our side of the ball.”

Team-mate Taulupe Faletau agrees that the future need not be bleak. The No.8 said: “There is no need to panic. We are still capable of getting what we want out of this tour.”
