Sign up for donor fight

THE surge of support for our Change the Law for Life campaign must be sustained if the sick and ailing waiting for organ transplants are to be saved.

Downing Street’s willingness to consider following Wales and now Scotland by adopting the opt-out system in England is promising but we shall not rest until the goal is achieved.

David Cameron inadvertently condemned people to die by refusing to modernise the law so Theresa May’s more open-minded position is a welcome step in the right direction.

It’s impressive that 23.5 million of us are on the donor register, until we consider that’s only about half the adult population and many of those who aren’t have no objection but simply never get round to consenting.

Assuming everybody is prepared to give the gift of life, unless they opt out, would save some or all of the three Britons dying needlessly every day for want of an organ donation.

So if you haven’t already, please join our fight to Change the Law for Life. We will win this.
