Love Island couple plot for TV spin-off
But Craig fails to win over Camilla
LOVE Island reject Craig Lawson was only after one thing – a lucrative spin-off deal with show favourite Camilla Thurlow, a source claims.
The 27-year-old personal trainer had secretly signed up to celebrity agency The Can Group. One showbiz insider said that they could turn them into the next Kate Price and Peter Andre.
But, despite being coupled with Camilla in the show and kissing her, he failed to win her over and left the island, coming second bottom in the TV vote.
Craig told the Mirror, after 2 million viewers watched him leave the ITV2 show: “There was no one else I thought I’d have a connection with. Camilla for me was a 10 and that’s a rare find.”
But he sparked suspicion when he targeted Camilla as soon as he entered the house and focused entirely on her.
Island mate Olivia said: “There’s something about him… I’m just worried.”
Tattooed Craig, of Barking, Essex, is a cousin of former TOWIE star Amy Childs, also signed up to The Can Group.
The Can Group turned Katie and Peter into a multi-million-pound brand.
Last night Craig’s agent said: “His romance with Camilla was not discussed prior to him going on the show.”
And Can denied any talks about TV deals involving Craig.
