Dangerous duo

BETTER relations between the US and Russian are in the world’s interest, but Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will always be a dangerous odd couple.

The pair will never be on an equal footing as long as evidence exists to suggest Putin influenced the US presidential election.

Trump’s unpredictability and Putin’s ruthlessness are frightening – and democracy, freedom and security are the victims.

There is a genuine fear in the US that the Kremlin will run rings round the White House, leaving western power compromised. Surely the US and Russia can find leaders we are able to respect rather than loathe?
