ACCOLADE Ariana Grande PLENTY IN STORE Stuart even has a shop front at the station AN ex-railway worker feels right at home with a train and Underground station in his back garden.
Stuart Searle, 63, built them to display his 50-year collection of memorabilia, which includes a £5,000 chocolate vending machine and 1,500 station signs.
The former signalman, of Hastings, East Sussex, said: “I’ve never worked out how much I’ve spent, I’d frighten myself. I started collecting when I was 14.” The station has a 60ft platform, cafe and shop. Stuart, who also collects film posters, is now creating a cinema for himself and wife Dawn.
