Digital Monday, Disc July 24 This handsome historical jungle trek is suitably plodding, being a film which was shot in 2015 and only just crawled into cinemas this year, where it appropriately disappeared without trace. Colonel Percy Fawcett was a real-life military manturned-explorer who made several trips through the South American jungle looking for a fabled lost city. He’s played by Geordie actor Charlie Hunnam who’s adrift in a forest of talent which includes Sienna Miller, Robert Pattinson and the new Spider-Man, Tom Holland. The script obsesses over spirituality, but it never finds the transcendence it strives for.
