I’d like to reply to the woman whose husband won’t let her see her mum (Dear Coleen, July 11). I would like to say to her: partners – and even husbands – can come and go, but you only get one mother. Your husband is a bully and I’d advise you to walk away before things take a more sinister turn. You don’t have to ask his permission for anything. Get round to see your old ma!
