Ryan’s life on a plate

- BY ALEX CROOK

BRIGHTON’S record signing Maty Ryan aims to cook up a storm in the Premier League – with a bit of help from his mum.

Australian goalkeeper Ryan, 25, has flown mum Carol from Down Under to help him settle in England.

Scottish-born Carol has quit her office job in Sydney and the Seagulls could help her find paid employment on the south coast.

Ryan, a £5.2million summer buy from Valencia, said: “I am glad I have got a bit more of a chef and cleaner around the place.

“Mum wanted to reconnect with me a little bit as we don’t get much time together these days.”
