Fox U-turns on longer EU transition
A BREXIT transitional pact with Brussels could last until 2022, the International Trade Secretary signalled yesterday in another screeching U-turn.
Leave-backing Liam Fox said the time it takes the UK to quit was “not a huge deal”.
He previously backed interim measures of a “few months”.
It is a victory for Chancellor Philip Hammond, who has pushed ministers to back a transition to avoid damaging the economy. Meanwhile Dr Fox said in a letter the BBC ignores positive Brexit stories, in his claims of bias by the Beeb.
