Roo’s grin the mood

WAYNE ROONEY is finally happy again since returning home to Everton.

Rooney has scored twice in pre-season after his switch from Manchester United and Blues’ great Trevor Steven has noted the striker’s new mood.

Rooney was pictured grinning with some of his Everton pals at the final day of The Open at Royal Birkdale, prompting Steven to tweet: “I have never seen Wayne Rooney so happy. Team spirit at Everton is sky high.”

Boss Ronald Koeman said: “Every day in training and in the friendlies, you see why he’s one of the best in his position.”
