Vicious drug gang jailed for 27 years
A DRUG lord used his father-in-law to deliver cannabis, MDMA and cocaine — thinking no one would suspect a pensioner.
Scott Linegar, 39, ran a drug ring in Surrey and the South East for two years, using stun guns to intimidate anyone who crossed him.
Alan Oldfield, his wife’s dad, stored and distributed the drugs while Linegar lavished £68,000 on holidays.
At Kingston crown court, Linegar, Oldfield and three gang members received jail sentences totalling 27½ years.
Det Insp Gareth Hicks said: “Dismantling this group is a huge result.” He added that police would pursue Linegar through the Proceeds of Crime Act.
