Trump signs sanctions bill to hit Russia
DONALD Trump has grudgingly signed a bill imposing tough new sanctions on Russia, but said it was “significantly flawed”.
Republican-controlled Congress approved the legislation, which also hits Iran and North Korea, by such a large margin he had little choice but to agree.
But he said Congress must “refrain from using this flawed bill to hinder our important work with European allies to resolve the conflict in Ukraine”.
Trump also announced he was backing a Senate bill that would overhaul the green card system and reduce legal immigration.
And in a interview with the Wall Street Journal, the President declared that he wanted a “major” trade deal with Britain.
