Brit tourists told to stay indoors in Spanish heatwave

INVESTIGAT­ION Pilot, trainee and lawyer at court yesterday STORMY Lightning strikes over Majorca BRITISH holidaymak­ers are being warned to stay in the shade and keep off the booze as a heatwave hits Spain.

Temperatur­es of 42C will hit resorts in Majorca, Minorca, and Catalonia – with an orange “important risk” alert issued.

There is also a yellow “risk” warning for Ibiza, Malaga and Granada. And Benidorm on the Costa Blanca has a yellow warning for “extreme high temperatur­es” today.

Dr Clare Kennedy-Edwards, of the Weather Company, said: “Such extreme heat could be a shock.

“It is important to avoid the hottest time of the day and drink plenty of cold drinks, avoiding alcohol and sugary
