ASTON VILLA v HULL CITY

KICK-OFF 5.30PM John Terry makes his Villa debut, while new arrivals Sam Johnstone, Ahmed Elmohamady, Chris Samba and Glenn Whelan are also in contention. Hull expect strikers Abel Hernandez and Adama Diomande to be fit. Evandro (hamstring) is a doubt.

BURTON v CARDIFF CITY

Burton striker Liam Boyce, who only joined this summer in a clubrecord deal, will miss most of the season after suffering knee damage last weekend. Cardiff’s Kadeem Harris (ankle) faces up to three months sidelined. Callum Paterson, Lee Camp and Matt Connolly are absent.

FULHAM v NORWICH

Fulham are sweating on the fitness of captain Tom Cairney (knee). Tomas Kalas is set to make his first appearance since re-joining the club on loan. Norwich captain Russell Martin (leg) is a major doubt. Josh Murphy and Ivo Pinto could be available from the bench.

QPR v READING

QPR will hand a debut to midfielder Josh Scowen (above) but Grant Hall (tendonitis) is missing. Reading defender Paul McShane is banned, striker Yann Kermorgant is still recovering from hip and groin surgery and Garath McCleary (groin) is also expected to miss out.

WOLVES v MIDDLESBRO­UGH

Wolves record £15million signing Ruben Neves is expected to make his bow and striker Nouha Dicko could be fit after a knock. Middlesbro­ugh boss Garry Monk has a fully-fit squad for his first game in charge – including seven of his new signings.

BRISTOL CITY v BARNSLEY

The Robins are without striker Matty Taylor after a second injection on his groin injury but Bosnian striker Milan Djuric (groin) could feature. Barnsley will be without three summer signings Lloyd Isgrove (foot), Zeki Fryers (hamstring) and Liam Lindsay (groin).

IPSWICH v BIRMINGHAM

Ipswich could hand first starts to Bersant Celina, Joe Garner (above) and Dominic Iorfa. Tom Adeyemi and Emyr Huws are sidelined. Birmingham will be without Lukas Jutkiewicz (calf), but Craig Gardner, David Stockdale, Marc Roberts and Cheikh N’Doye could all debut.

PRESTON v SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

Preston will be without Tom Clarke (knee) but John Welsh (calf) should be fit. Paul Gallagher, Calum Woods and Jordan Hugill are all training and could feature. Wednesday have just one absentee in Liam Palmer (Achilles). George Boyd is hoping for a debut.

SHEFFIELD UNITED v BRENTFORD

Summer signings Ched Evans and George Baldock are in the frame to start for the Blades while Chelsea loanee Jamal Blackman could be in goal. Brentford head coach Dean Smith could hand debuts to right-back Henrik Dalsgaard and midfielder Kamo Mokotjo.

BOLTON v LEEDS

TOMORROW, 4.30PM Striker Adam Le Fondre, who scored six goals in 19 games on loan at Bolton last term, is set to partner Gary Madine. Leeds gaffer Thomas Christians­en has a fully-fit squad – including Chris Wood, last season’s top Championsh­ip scorer.
