Sanchez in U-turn

ALEXIS SANCHEZ is ready to accept Arsenal’s hardline stance and see out the final year of his contract.

Boss Arsene Wenger has insisted he has the backing of the Gunners’ board to force the Chile striker, 28, to stay despite risking losing him for nothing when his deal expires next summer.

But Sanchez is dropping hints to his team-mates and friends that he is now resigned to staying and leaving as a free agent for an even more lucrative deal.

Paris Saint-Germain’s £200million move for Neymar appears to have ended the French club’s chances of getting Sanchez.

Arsenal have also made it clear that they will not sell to Manchester City or any Premier League rival, which has put the block on Sanchez’s options to leave.
