Prehistoric heavy croc
SCIENTISTS have named a 145 million-year-old crocodile after heavy metal frontman Lemmy.
The 19ft beast has been named Lemmysuchus in honour of the Motorhead singer who died in 2015.
The crocodile had a 3ft head and huge teeth.
It was found in 1909 but a recent study discovered it was wrongly classified.
The name was chosen by the Natural History Museum’s Lorna Steel, who said: “I’m thrilled to immortalise Lemmy.”
