Hip still has Andy on hop

ANDY MURRAY has pulled out of another tournament, but insists he should be fit for the US Open later this month.

The Scot will miss the Western and Southern Open in Cincinnati due to the hip injury that hampered him so badly at Wimbledon.

He said: “I’m continuing to work hard on the court with the aim of being in New York.”

Roger Federer took less than an hour to beat Canadian Peter Polansky 6-2 6-1 at Montreal’s Rogers Cup in his first tournament since winning Wimbledon last month.
