More kids hit with diabetes

MORE than 600 children in the UK have Type 2 diabetes, normally only seen in people over 40.

The rate has risen 14% in a year, said the Royal College of Paediatrics.

They called for action to tackle childhood obesity as Type 2 can be prevented by a healthy diet and exercise.
