UK hols boost caravan sales

THE growing popularity of staycation holidays means caravan sales are soaring.

Figures show production of touring caravans rose 13.7% in the first half of 2017, with motorhome registration up by 11.3%.

The National Caravan Council’s report also said 5.6% more trailers were delivered to holiday parks.

Jenny Summers, of the NCC, said: “We see a consistently strong market for leisure vehicles. These figures also endorse the popularity of staycations.”
