Gregg Wallace is over-excited and a bit starstruck, as he welcomes more celebrities to this six-week culinary contest, now entering series 12.
We know the drill by now. Gregg and fellow judge John Torode task 20 celebrities with tough cooking challenges, and do their level best to avoid food poisoning at the same time.
One will surely rise as an unexpected star, like previous winners Nadia Sawalha or Matt Dawson. But one, as Gregg puts it, will be “the rotten egg”. Either way, it’s pretty amusing viewing.
First up are actor Jim Moir (aka Vic Reeves), TV presenter Angellica Bell, snooker champ Stephen Hendry, presenter Julia Somerville and French tennis pro Henri Leconte.
The heat is on.
