ROWETT LAYS DOWN THE LAW

DERBY are crying out for goals – but boss Gary Rowett says new £7million winger Tom Lawrence has no guarantees.

Lawrence scored 11 goals on loan for Ipswich from Leicester last season and goes into the Rams squad at Bolton.

Rowett, whose side have scored just twice in three matches, said: “When you pay decent money to bring any player into the building, of course whether he starts is in your thinking.

“We must still factor that in on the back of a midweek win against Preston, which brought us a better performance.”
