GUNTER: SO WRONG TO RAP RAMSEY

AARON RAMSEY has become a scapegoat at Arsenal, according to his Wales team-mate Chris Gunter.

Ramsey is a key man for his country with 12 goals from 47 games. But the midfielder, who excelled at Euro 2016, came in for flak at his club. He was heavily criticised after the 4–0 defeat at Liverpool and subbed at half-time.

Asked if he thought Ramsey was being blamed for the Gunners’ woes, Gunter (above) said: “Yeah, I do. I’m not sure why. This is a guy who a few months ago scored the winner in the FA Cup final and that was two in three years.

“If he is a scapegoat then good luck to everyone else. There are times I watch Arsenal and he’s their driving force and it’s the same for Wales.

“In Wales he’s massively appreciated.”
