Still the People’s Princess
THERE was a sea of flowers at Kensington Palace yesterday as fans from across the UK paid tribute to the People’s Princess.
Diana’s good friend Elton John tweeted: “20 years ago, the world lost an angel. #RIP”. And charity worker Dave Petersen, 64, at the palace, agreed: “She was amazing. People thought you could get Aids from toilet seats and she was happy to meet people and shake hands.”
Cambridge professor Chris Imafidon, who met her, said “She modernised the monarchy.”
