Black Cats pick Wilson off Cherries

SUNDERLAND have taken Bournemouth defender Marc Wilson on a season-long loan.

Wilson (above), 30, who can play in the centre or at full-back, is yet to make a Premier League appearance for the Cherries since joining a year ago from Stoke.

He was loaned to top-flight West Brom in January to link up again with Tony Pulis and he made four appearances. But Albion failed to follow up their initial interest.
