Teacher crisis after 10% fall
THE Government is accused of “failing students” after a 10% drop in graduates in teacher-training.
It means 780 fewer teachers in training this year, according to analysis of Ucas data.
Lib-Dem shadow education minister Layla – said: “This is yet more evidence of the crisis in teacher recruitment and retention. Without enough teachers, class sizes will rise further.” She has written to ministers to express concern.
