Firms ‘know about slavery’

ONE in ten UK businesses have evidence of modern slavery in their supply chain, figures reveal.

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply wants stricter penalties.

The National Crime Agency believes there are “tens of thousands of slaves” in Britain in fishing, farming, manufacturing and prostitution.
