Hammond’s fitness fears after crash
RICHARD Hammond’s Swiss supercar crash in June has left him fearing how he will keep fit.
Doctors have given the presenter an 18-month exercise ban after he was left wheelchair-bound by the 120mph crash.
He was airlifted to hospital and needed an op on a fractured knee.
Hammond, 47, said: “I can’t run for 18 months and that’s how I keep fit.
“They’ve told me to cycle, but I hate cyclists.”
He added it is hard to get insurance for his stunts, but joked: “It should be as I mend easily.”
The Grand Tour star was making his first red-carpet appearance since coming off crutches at the GQ Men of the Year awards in London on Tuesday.
