Slavery victim forced to sell herself for sex at bus depot
A TRAFFICKER who forced a woman to “hawk herself around” offering men sex at a city centre bus station for £30 a time has been jailed for nine years.
Jozef Sztojka, 36, offered his victim cleaning work if she left Hungary, where her son had been taken into care after she had lost her home.
As soon as she arrived in Leeds he took her money and ID and forced her into prostitution. Leeds crown court heard she had come to the UK to earn cash to find a new home in Budapest and be reunited with her son.
But instead she was “used as a slave” until she ran away from Sztojka after five days and contacted the police.
Sztojka was convicted on two counts of arranging travel for purposes of sexual exploitation.
