Murphy’s score kills off Cats

Sunderland 0 Nottm Forest 1

DARYL MURPHY’S late winner piled the pressure on Sunderland boss Simon Grayson.

The former Black Cats striker pounced from close range, with five minutes left, after sub Barrie McKay crossed for the unmarked Republic of Ireland striker to seal an undeserved victory.

Sunderland, under Grayson (above), have now gone five matches without a win after a fourth straight defeat.

Forest skipper Matt Mills bravely blocked first-half shots from Callum McManaman and George Honeyman. And keeper Jordan Smith also saved well from McManaman, before Murphy hit his late, decisive strike.
