FATHER OF TRUE GRACE

Having spent many times chewing over politics and talking about our respective families with Holby City actor John Michie and his partner Carol, I was heartbroken to hear they’d lost their gorgeous daughter Louella, who died last weekend while attending Bestival in Dorset.

John and Carol are both blessed with true social consciences – the ability to see good in everyone, wanting the best for everyone no matter their class, creed or colour. Despite his heartbreak, it was typical of John to avoid pointing the finger of blame for his precious daughter’s death – at pains to let everyone know “it was just a tragic mistake, a tragic accident”.

His quiet dignity veiling what must be a massive, gaping hurt.
